Guerrilla Choir is going to join forces w/ Rwandan singer, Jean-Paul Samputu to celebrate the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE, Sunday, Sept 21, at Mont Royal Park where the Tam-Tams play.
Jean-Paul is a genocide survivor and learned to forgive those that killed his family. Besides being an incredible performer, he spends a lot of his time as an international ambassador for peace and reconciliation.

After he speaks at the city sponsored festivities, he will join us in singing around the park. He is writing a couple of special, easy-to-learn songs for us and for the occasion of the International Day of Peace.
To prepare, Jean-Paul will rehearse with us on Monday night Sept 15 at my house (???? rue Victor Hugo – Lucien L’Allier metro) – Remember, no special vocal abilities needed – just a desire to inject goodness and peace into our city.
We’ll have another rehearsal (w/out Jean-Paul) on Friday night Sept 19 at the Friendship house (120 Duluth East.) Try to make it to a rehearsal; but if it’s not possible, just come to the TamTams on Sunday, Sept 21 around noon.
And spread the word – this collaboration will be an exciting new twist for the choir and a chance to raise our voices for peace.
